Leaving the chilly months behind us, we are geared up for the summer and bring you some of our favourite summer treats.
Authentic Italian Farmer’s Market at Caffé Luna
Many of you have expressed difficulty finding fresh products in your neighbourhood, and Chef Massimo has remedied this. The recently held Italian Farmer’s Market at Caffé Luna gave you the opportunity to buy freshly imported Italian vegetables and other Italian quality products. Just two days after harvesting, the imported vegetables and fruits gave you a taste of Mediterranean freshness. Thanks to its success, we will continue to hold similar events in the future.
Tropical Pool a la carte service
The Tropical Pool has always been one of our Members’ favourite spots to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere. It is our goal to enhance this experience and the temporary renovation of the Tropical Pool Café does not have to affect your comfort. A la carte service is now available every weekend and public holiday and the extended menu offers a variety of signature beverages and dishes for all tastes.
Cool down with a refreshing Mango Mania Mocktail or a Frozen Apple Mojito. Without leaving the poolside, order your kids’ favourite meal or a light snack for yourself.
Gelato Cart: A sweet Italian delight
What could be cooler or more indulgent on a hot summer’s day than a scoop of authentic Italian Gelato. This artisanal product is offered in its classic flavours throughout the summer. Available daily at The Deck or to go, and for your convenience it is also served at the Tropical Pool.

Kids on 8 is unique in many ways. Sourcing of the fun stuff, such as the soft toys, trikes and trains took time but who doesn’t like toy shops? Preparing the site for delivery of special features such as the Pirate Ship or Jeep, not to mention the momentous task of lifting them up to the 8th floor and in to their final homes, took co-ordination and teamwork.
Many friendships have been made along the way, solid working relationships founded – and what a thrill to be part of something unique to Hong Kong.
The goal is, of course, to ‘wow’ our children through fun interactive play and with the Train, Fire Engine, Pirate Ship and Castle to name a few, there are endless fantasies to be created, even just for a short while, where the children are lost in a magical world, meeting new friends and learning new skills.
We are proud to introduce Kids on 8. Let the fun begin!

As the weather is now ideal for a comfortable meal on The Deck’s terrace, our famous American Barbecue will be back very soon. Join us every weekend until May 6 for lunch or dinner and try some authentic all-time favourite barbecue dishes.
Many new mildly smoked specialties have been added to this year’s American Barbecue and I would like to take this chance to recommend to you some of the highlights.

Exclusive Wine Lobby Sales
To tie in with the great success of our fine wine lobby sales and to continuously ensure the attractiveness of the Club’s wine offers to our Members and their guests, we will extend our wine lobby sales during the summer period.
In the coming months and during the transformation of Marina Deli we will take the chance to clear many of our exclusive inventory wines. A special price applies, with which not even the retailers in Hong Kong can compete, no service charge applies and home delivery policy is in place. In this way, we want to thank you for your continuous support and interest in our wines. For more detailed information, our colleagues at Marina Deli will be more than happy to assist you.
Festive Program during Easter
Easter is a time for families, relaxed gatherings in harmonious surroundings and a strong focus on the entertainment of our children. Easter Chocolate Egg Decorating at Caffé Luna will be a fun activity for the whole family to start the Easter weekend. On the culinary side, our famous Easter Sunday Family Brunch at The Deck takes place once again. The Dining Room is also open for the whole family with a special Easter Brunch and Dinner Menu.
A special surprise has also been organised for Easter Sunday. If you are at the Club, the surprise will find you!

Dear Members,
There have been some additions and upgrades to our facilities since my last blog entry.
We have opened a Nail Bar on the 8th Floor. As you can see from the pictures below it has a homely yet sophisticated design and we hope that you can find time to enjoy a manicure and pedicure with us soon.
Relaxing paraffin-wax hand and foot treatments are popular, and please try our New Gel Color Nail which is a 30-minute express service. The formula requires just 30 seconds in an LED box to cure, and promises at least a two-week chip-free finish no thicker than nail polish. Soak-off time should be only 10 minutes and the color will last up to two weeks.

Also on the 8th Floor we have renovated and upgraded the music rooms. Lessons for guitar, drums and piano are available.

Easter Break Schedule
Once again the Easter Holiday is just around the corner. Please check the Easter break schedule and the re-start dates for all regular group activities. If you plan to take extra holidays, please remember to submit an Application for Lesson Withdrawal/Cancellation Form to the Activities Office at least one month in advance, otherwise a one-month lesson fee will be charged in lieu of notice.
