Inna Wegener is a multidisciplinary artist from Kyiv, Ukraine, whose creative practicespans painting, murals, installations, performance art and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Defying easy categorisation, her work is driven by experimentation and an ongoing exploration of perception, subjectivity and the many layers of reality that shape our experience of the world.
Drawing inspiration from nature, the environment and human interaction with our surroundings, Wegener creates immersive visual worlds through vibrant colour, dynamic forms and meticulous layering techniques.
Derealisation by Inna Wegener showcases a selection of artworks that extend beyond traditional painting, featuring original canvases, a hand-painted scooter and an artist-designed denim jacket that reflects the intersection of contemporary art and modern fashion.
Centred on the concept of derealization – a subjective experience in which the external world can seem unfamiliar or unreal – the exhibition invites viewers to reconsider the boundaries between the real and the imagined. Through abstract explorations of colour, space and form, Wegener challenges conventional ways of seeing and encourages audiences to engage with the nuances of perception.
Together, these works offer a distinctive glimpse into the artist's creative world, where everyday objects and abstract imagery coverage in unexpected ways.
