Domaine Leflaive, based in Puligny-Montrachet, is one of Burgundy's most prestigious wineries, revered for its exceptional Chardonnay-based white wines. Established by Joseph Leflaive (1870 – 1953), who expanded vineyard holdings post-phylloxera in 1905, the domaine has been family-run for four generations. Anne-Claude Leflaive elevated its global status by converting to biodynamic viticulture in 1997, a pioneering move in Burgundy. Today, managed by Brice de la Morandière (Anne-Claude's nephew and great grandson of Joseph Leflaive the founder), the domaine continues the same family philosophy of respect for the great terroirs and humility towards the forces of nature, while rigorous in its relentless pursuit of excellence in wine making.
